The BetMGM online gambling brand is poised to make its debut in the Empire State, with the firm set to launch its online sportsbook in New York on Monday 17 January.

The entity boasts an integration with MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program to give customers the ability to redeem their gameplay for experiences at MGM Resorts properties, including Empire City Casino in Yonkers, Borgata in New Jersey, MGM National Harbor in Maryland, and Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

As an official sports betting partner of Madison Square Garden Arena, BetMGM will also be able to reward its customers with VIP experiences involving the New York Knicks and Rangers.

“With today’s monumental news, we’ll now be able to fully activate our relationships with MGM Resorts’ Empire City Casino and Madison Square Garden,” stated Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO.

“We look forward to offering customers in New York unique experiences that they can’t access on any other platform.

“A huge thank you to the New York Gaming Commission as well as to our entire BetMGM team who have worked tirelessly to bring this to fruition.”

Last week, the New York State Gaming Commission approved four mobile sports wagering operators, namely Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel, and Rush Street Interactive, to commence sports wagering operations from no earlier than 9am on Saturday 8 January.

It was added that the remaining five licensees, which features Bally’s, Wynn, Resorts World, and PointsBet, as well as BetMGM, would continue to work towards satisfying statutory and regulatory requirements necessary to launch and will be approved on a rolling basis when they are met.
