Kalamba bolsters growth strategy with new head of legal

Kalamba Games has bolstered its growth strategy as the igaming supplier appoints Dr. Nicola Magro has its new head of legal.

The appointment of Magro, a qualified lawyer in Malta with over 10 years of experience, will see her bring expertise in commercial law with focus on business, licensing, corporate, gaming, regulatory compliance, AML and legal consultancy for all aspects of business.

Steve Cutler, CEO and co-founder at Kalamba Games, said: “With consistent growth and the entering of multiple regulated markets comes the need for strengthening our talented team.

“Nicola brings with her a wealth of knowledge and skills and will be hugely valuable in supporting our roadmap for 2022 and beyond. I’d like to welcome her warmly and wish her all the very best for her career with us.”

A law graduate of the University of Malta with a master’s degree in knowledge-based entrepreneurship, Kalamba noted that Magro’s skill set, experience and contacts in the capital of igaming will be a “huge asset” to the firm as it approaches its fifth anniversary and continues to increase its industry standing.

Kalamba Games continues to enter new markets and expand its global footprint, with its portfolio of titles such as recent slots, Lady Lava, Blazing Bull 2, Joker Times Xmas Edition, along with numerous local market certifications and its recently awarded MGA licence.

The appointment of Magro follows on from Kalamba’s recent European certification earlier this year which saw a selection of the company’s igaming titles receive the green-light in Portugal.

The certification is lauded as the latest milestone for the supplier, who has recently entered a number of new markets and expanded its presence in regulated territories such as Greece, Croatia, Italy and Spain.
