Wazdan has its sights set on moving forward and setting “a strong presence” in the growing US igaming market, after the group bolstered its New Jersey entry with the introduction of its Volatility Levels feature earlier this year.

The igaming content developer praised receipt of a transactional waiver in the Garden State as “the first step on a very exciting journey” in May, as the group prepared to make its maiden manoeuvre in the region.

Now some months into its US journey, Michał Imiolek, group CEO of Wazdan, addresses which other US jurisdiction’s we can expect the see the supplier target in the near future: “Wazdan is most definitely expanding its presence in the US, with plans to enter Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia soon.

“Meanwhile, legal online casino gaming continues to boom in the US. The top three online casino markets in the US have generated more than $1.5bn combined revenue in the first half of 2021, with Pennsylvania now standing as the nation’s second-largest legal online casino market. It stands as one of the biggest winners of the mobile gaming boom of the past few years.

“West Virginia is a significantly smaller igaming market but saw out the year with its best-ever month in the short history of the state’s mobile casino industry.

“It marks the first time US players can customise volatility in a game”

“Michigan’s online sports betting and online casino gambling platforms continue to flourish. The Great Lakes State hit the halfway point of 2021 among the nation’s most viable igaming markets, with its 14 online casino apps generating just under $66.2m in June.”

As previously touched upon, Wazdan followed up its New Jersey entry by debuting Volatility Levels a little over one month ago, with the proprietary feature aiming to provide players with complete control over their playing experience by allowing them to modify the game volatility across all of the supplier’s titles. It can be argued, Wazdan says, that thanks to the Volatility Levels functionality, the player gets three games in one.

After saying that the feature sets the supplier apart from others in the space, Imiolek elaborated on how and why this is so in a very competitive New Jersey igaming ecosystem.

“Known to offer a multitude of classic-style slot experiences, Wazdan sets itself apart from other suppliers in the space with its unique game design and exclusive set of gamification tools, which are on display in the wide variety of video slots that arrived in New Jersey earlier this year,” he continues.

“Volatility Levels allow players to select how volatile they want their experience to be. With just one click, players can tweak a game to suit their unique preferences. Through the VL functionality, the player also gets like three games in one

“There are three Volatility Levels available, with high volatility bringing bigger wins but less often, and low volatility ushering in more frequent, smaller wins.

“Players looking for a more balanced experience can utilise the preconfigured standard mode, where win size and frequency are locked in place to provide a more level playing experience. It marks the first time US players can customise volatility in a game.

“Gambling in the US has seen very rapid growth already”

“This feature certainly helps us stand out from the competition. And with consistent, exciting additions to our valued portfolio and a constant strive for innovation, Wazdan’s games range continues to excel globally.”

To conclude, Imiolek documents how players have reacted to Wazdan games in New Jersey after making its maiden entry, and what major differences have been experienced in player preferences when contrasted to Europe:

“Wazdan reported significant gains in momentum in New Jersey just weeks after taking the first batch of games live in the state,” Imiolek adds.

“Six of our company’s slots currently are certified in the Garden State, including top-performing games Sizzling 777 Deluxe, Lucky Reels and Space Spins, as well as popular titles Power of Gods: The Pantheon, Magic Stars 3, and Magic Fruits Deluxe, with more than ten additional titles being certified for rollout.

“Unique Wazdan features are designed to tailor games to the individual player’s preferences and increase overall engagement. We are confident that players in New Jersey are enjoying the freedom of choice and faster load times, amongst the other tools that make Wazdan titles truly dynamic playing experiences.

“Many players in the US who engage with online casinos come from backgrounds in traditional land-based casinos, so they really know what they like and what they want from a title.

“Online gambling has been gaining popularity, especially during the pandemic where consumers could wager through a horde of websites and apps.

“The most important thing is to keep games and formats fresh and appealing. Gambling in the US has seen very rapid growth already, and there are no signs of this slowing down, so Wazdan will continue to provide a steady flow of top titles for US players.”
