Former Paddy Power Betfair manager Catalin Zaha has been appointed chief product officer at Maxima Compliance, becoming the first individual to occupy such a position at the group.

Zaha will oversee the full-service compliance provider’s product suite, which includes Complitech, the technical compliance database for the gaming industry.

The Maxima Compliance portfolio of products was further bolstered early this year with the launch of Maxima DataVault, a platform capable of receiving XML and JSON data from operators and game providers, and saving it in the correct format required by local regulators across multiple jurisdictions.

“Maxima Compliance continues to build a diverse range of products in support of the compliance needs of our customers, so it was time we appointed our first ever chief product officer to oversee these products,” said Antonio Zanghi, Maxima Compliance CEO.

“Catalin joins with exceptional pedigree and experience at one of the world’s largest gaming companies. He’s going to be a fantastic addition to our team.”

Zaha joins after six years at Flutter Entertainment where he assumed a number of roles, including product owner for data – regulatory and financial platform services.

Zaha added: “Maxima Compliance has been on my radar for a couple of years because of the innovative and technology-led approach they take to compliance.

“I’m thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time for Maxima, and look forward to further building out what is already a world-class product offering.”
