Pragmatic Play is to offer free games across a two-day period alongside a number of its partners, in celebration of the inaugural National Bingo Day in the United Kingdom.

This year marks the first time that National Bingo Day becomes a registered awareness day in the UK, with the event being supported by The Bingo Association and key licensed operators from both the retail and online space.

To mark the occasion, Pragmatic Play will be offering a free £1,000 bingo game on June 25, in addition to making over £100 up for grabs with free games in the 80-ball room on National Bingo Day between 2pm and 3pm. This promotion will be available across the network, including partners such as PlayOJO, Butlers Bingo and Lottoland.

Ezgi Erturk, head of bingo for Pragmatic Play, said: “We are massively excited to join in the fun and celebrations of National Bingo Day, along with our partners and all those involved in bingo, both online and in the clubs. What better way to celebrate than lots of free bingo, something we know will be eagerly received by players, and available across our network.”

Earlier this year, Mecca and Buzz Bingo united to introduce National Bingo Day, which is to take place on Sunday 27 June, with the pair highlighting the necessity to inject a vital boost to all British venues returning to business from lockdown.

Accustomed to being celebrated across the US, Buzz and Mecca have launched Britain’s iteration, which is subsequently being championed by the Bingo Association.

Upon launching the dedicated day to celebration the game of bingo, Buzz and Mecca management underscored the importance of cross-industry collaboration in helping support the recovery of the wider bingo industry, with land-based venues having faced much of 2020 and 2021 trading under lockdown.
