Payments platform Paysafe has rolled-out an expanded partnership with Golden Nugget Online Gaming, as the latter asserts that “getting payments right has always been an important focus”.

This has also seen the online casino’s brand in the regulated Michigan market plug into Paysafe, which is also connecting the brand to the ACH technology of Global Payments Gaming Solutions, a division of Global Payments.

The brand’s integration with Paysafe’s payments platform intends to enable players to quickly and securely make deposits by credit and debit card to enjoy a wide array of video slots, table games, video poker, and live dealer games.

GNOG debuted online and mobile real-money casino when the Michigan Gaming Control Board commenced the region’s digital ecosystem on Friday 22 January. The group is partnered with Keweenaw Bay Indian Community in Michigan.

Thomas Winter, president at Golden Nugget Online Gaming, commented: “Like every US igaming operator, getting payments right has always been an important focus for us.

“Our partnership with Paysafe in New Jersey has helped us streamline and improve payments for us and our customers, and so when we chose to enter the bigger market of Michigan, extending the partnership was an easy choice that made sound business sense.”

The Paysafe platform will also seamlessly connect GNOG’s Michigan igaming brand to Global Payments Gaming Solutions’ warranty ACH service, allowing players to electronically fund their wagers and get real-time access to their winnings through their registered bank account.

The implementation allows Paysafe to tap the value of Global Payments Gaming Solutions, which it says intends to enable better funding options.

GNOG and Paysafe’s latest US move builds on a long-standing partnership in the New Jersey online casino market, which began when the Garden State’s regulated real-money online casino and poker market went live in November 2013

When GNOG debuted the Golden Nugget Sportsbook in New Jersey in February 2019, the operator’s partnership with Paysafe extended into the sports-betting space.

Their entry into Michigan’s igaming and sports betting market is expected to be followed by other launches later in 2021, including West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Gregory Kirstein, vice president of business development of igaming at Paysafe, said: “We’re delighted to grow our partnership with Golden Nugget into Michigan, and we’re pleased that they recognise our value in supporting customer acquisition, retention and overall revenue growth in the states where they are now operating. We look forward to continuing our dedicated support in Michigan in collaboration with Global Payments.”
