SBC and the International Masters of Gaming Law have signed a deal to provide a programme of high-level content for SBC’s 2021 calendar of betting and gaming industry events.

The partnership will see the respected IMGL Masterclasses held at a number of SBC events in 2021, including editions of the industry-leading SBC Digital series and the flagship events CasinoBeats Summit, SBC Summit Barcelona, and SBC Summit North America.

IMGL, a not-for-profit association comprising more than 340 members recognised as the leading experts in their jurisdictions, has staged IMGL Masterclasses at international gaming events over the past decade as part of its programme of continuing education for the gambling sector.

The partnership has already started with IMGL members hosting a Masteclass exploring the challenges of regulating online gaming in federal countries at the SBC Digital Latinoamérica conference in March.

It is now set to deliver similarly high-level content at April’s SBC Digital Payments and June’s SBC Digital North America, ahead of the unique CasinoBeats Summit ‘hybrid’ live and online event in Malta in July and several major global events in the fall of 2021.

Marc Ellinger, president of the IMGL, said: “As the pre-eminent international organisation of gaming lawyers, the IMGL is excited to work with SBC on its 2021 events programme.

“The partnership got off to a great start at SBC Digital Latinoamérica and we look forward to continuing to help deliver high-quality legal-focused content to SBC’s audience over the course of the year.”

Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, said: “We’re delighted to be working with the IMGL for our 2021 events programme. Its members are the foremost gambling industry lawyers in their jurisdictions and our delegates will benefit greatly from their regulatory and legal insights.”

SBC Digital Payments on April 29 is a new online conference and exhibition dedicated to payments, compliance, and fintech within the international betting and gaming industry.

The SBC Digital North America conference and expo on June 9-10 will examine the latest developments in the high-growth US and Canadian sports betting and igaming industries.

CasinoBeats Summit at the InterContinental in St Julian’s, Malta on 13 – 15 July is a specialist igaming industry conference and expo, which includes the inaugural Game Developer Awards. In addition to the 500 delegates at the venue, a global audience will be able to access the content via a parallel virtual edition of the event.
