At the start of the free spins mode, a symbol – except the wild – is chosen to act as the Special symbol. After the regular payout of wins, special symbols may expand and pay independent of their position on the payline. The expansion is only triggered if enough symbols for a win are present.
Furthermore, if an additional three or more wild symbols land on the reels during the Free Spins round, an additional 10 spins with the same wpecial symbol are awarded.
