Yggdrasil

Developer 4ThePlayer is aiming to boost its future games production capabilities after enhancing its collaboration with Yggdrasil via a sign-up to the supplier’s ‘Game Engagement Offering’.

As a result of the move, the YG Masters partner will be able to incorporate the Gigablox, Splitz and MultiMax into its game development process, in a bid to increase player engagement and retention levels.

Gigablox, which has featured in Lucky Neko and Hades, is all about gigantic symbols appearing on the reels leading to massive wins when stacked. Splitz, incorporated into Temple Stacks, Neon Rush and Syncronite, splits mystery symbols on the reels for more ways, extra scatters, longer lines or bigger clusters. MultiMax made its debut in Multifly! and sees multipliers accumulate on the reels for cascading wins.

“Our mechanics significantly elevate the games incorporating them and add new levels of excitement and engagement that will have players coming back for more,” noted Stuart McCarthy, head of partner programs at Yggdrasil.

“We are excited to expand our partnership with 4ThePlayer and to see them release games using Giglablox which will strengthen their existing portfolio.”

4ThePlayer joins Peter & Sons, Reflex Gaming, DreamTech Gaming and Bang Bang Games in signing up to the GEM offering, with the first games incorporating the mechanics expected to be released later this year.

Chris Ash, founder and business development director at 4ThePlayer, added: “Innovation and entertainment are key elements for us when we’re creating new games, and you can find both in Yggdrasil’s impressive Gigablox mechanic.

“We already have an exciting concept for a Gigablox game and look forward to releasing it later this year.”
