Online gaming and entertainment operator 888 has been unveiled as the title sponsor for next month’s 2021 Portuguese Grand Prix.

This will see the event, which takes place at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve from April 16-18, become named the Grande Prémio 888 de Portugal.

Pau Serracanta, managing director at Dorna Sports, stated: “We are very happy to welcome 888 as title sponsor for the Portuguese Grand Prix and see the 888 name take top billing at one of the most spectacular tracks on the calendar. 888 is a well-known and respected name in the field and we’re very happy to welcome them back to MotoGP.”

888, which boasts a presence in a multitude jurisdictions worldwide, offers Portuguese consumers access to its 888casino brand via the 888.pt portal. 

The company continues to closely align itself with world of sports, after it become an official sponsor of Shamrock Rovers Football Club for the 2021 and 2022 seasons earlier this month, in a deal which it said “signals commitment to the local community”.
