SBC Digital Latinoamérica agenda to focus on region’s major opportunities

The SBC Digital Latinoamérica conference and exhibition is set to deliver a comprehensive analysis of the vast potential of the region’s betting and gaming markets, as more countries embark on the path towards regulated online gambling.

The virtual event on 2-3 March 2021 will feature content in Spanish, Portuguese and English, as it brings together the Latin American industry and major international businesses for two days of knowledge sharing, networking, and business discussions.

A line-up of 60 senior executives, regulators, product specialists, and legal experts has been assembled to tackle an agenda that focuses on the opportunities opening up for the industry in the region and the obstacles that must be overcome to take advantage of them.

Day one’s agenda includes the Leadership & Innovation track, which features sessions examining the potential offered by partnerships between media brands and betting operators, the development of engaging new products for markets within Latin America, and whether lotteries can successfully transition into the digital space. The track also has a leaders’ panel that will focus on the key growth areas for the industry in 2021.

The opening panel on the Regulation track will see operators joined by legal experts and regulators to evaluate the likely next steps towards establishing legal frameworks for online gaming in countries across the region, and what that means for European companies looking to launch in Latin America.

Further sessions will offer insights into operating successful advertising, sponsorship and affiliate marketing campaigns in newly-regulated markets, and assess the prospects for the recently-launched online gaming market in Buenos Aires.

On day two, attention will turn to Brazil, a country that many within the international industry believe has the potential to become one of the world’s biggest regulated markets.

The Brazil Focus track will deliver an in-depth assessment of the progress SECAP has made towards a regulatory framework and what operators can expect when it is finally published later this year. Further panels will see an exchange of ideas about how betting and gaming companies can make the most of the Brazilian opportunity by localising existing offerings and developing new products specifically to meet the tastes of local players.

SBC Digital Latinoamérica’s fourth conference track is Sports & Sports Betting, during which senior executives will look beyond football and deliver insights on the other markets that operators will need to offer to succeed in the region. Attendees will learn about the tastes of local players and how improved horse racing, tennis and esports offerings can be used to maximise acquisition and drive bet volumes.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & founder of SBC, said: “Latin America is a hugely exciting region for the betting and gaming industry, with a host of opportunities emerging for both local and international operators as more countries come to recognise the benefits of establishing regulated markets.

“The team behind our fast-growing SBCNoticias.com news website have their finger on the pulse of all the key developments in the region. They have used that knowledge to compile an agenda that will provide SBC Digital Latinoamérica delegates with a wealth of practical insights about the best opportunities and the challenges that operators need to prepare for as the markets open up.”

In addition to the conference, attendees can see the latest innovations from some of the world’s leading suppliers in the event’s interactive product display area, and connect with fellow delegates to talk business during the programme of networking roundtables.
