SciPlay has announced that it has donated more than $18,700 to the Toys for Tots drive, amounting to more than 3,700 toys during the Christmas period.
The Toys for Tots programme collects new toys to give to disadvantaged children so they can fully experience the joy of opening gifts on Christmas morning.
SciPlay raised the donations in cooperation with its players through an interactive, in-game experience on its Quick Hit Slots product.
More than one million Quick hit Slots’ monthly active users accumulated ‘magic points’ to contribute to the toy drive between December 10 and 26, with one toy donated for every 50,000 points earned.
“There is nothing more heartwarming than engaging our wonderful user base to help those in need,” said Diego Alaluf, director of marketing for Quick Hit Slots at SciPlay.
“We wanted to give back to the community this holiday season and are proud to have partnered with Toys for Tots again to deliver toys to children in need.
“Everyone has the right to play, and we are very appreciative of our gracious users and are overjoyed to have helped Santa deliver thousands of toys to children throughout the world!”
Quick Hit Slots users also celebrated the donation opportunity, with one player remarking via the app’s community page: “Thank you for your great gift…that is an amazing gesture.”
Another user added, “It’s a good feeling knowing you gave a helping hand…keep doing good, Quick Hit community.”
Quick Hit Slots features some of the biggest casino names and brands, including Dancing Drums, Cash Spin, Mayan Treasures, Lock It Links and Havana Cubana.
