Habanero has been given the green light by the Romanian gambling regulator to supply operators across the country with its slots and table games portfolio.

By receiving an accreditation from the ONJN, Habanero will supply its games offering, which includes titles such as Wizards Want War!, Egyptian Dreams Deluxe, Happiest Christmas Tree and 5 Lucky Lions.

“We are thrilled that the team’s consistent diligence has been recognised by the regulatory body in Romania, a market which we believe to be one of the most interesting and dynamic in Europe,” said Arcangelo Lonoce, European Head of Business Development at Habanero.

“The news will help us further extend our ever-growing customer reach within the region, following on from a series of high-profile commercial agreements with a succession of Southern Europe’s foremost operators.”

The new licence will allow the supplier to expand its commercial footprint across the Romanian market, which legalised online gambling in 2016.

Earlier this year, Habanero praised the receipt of a ‘hugely important regulatory milestone’ after the slots and table games provider secured a ‘Critical Gaming Supply Licence’ from the Malta Gaming Authority.

The MGA licence enables the studio to provide its content to Malta-based operators, with a number of brands said to already be in line for a series of announcements in the near future.
