YouTuber Brian ‘True Geordie’ Davis links-up with PokerStars

The Stars Group has added YouTuber Brian “True Geordie” Davis to its PokerStars brand, stating that he’s ‘delighted’ to bring ‘a massive passion’ to his audience.

Following the recent announcements of Neymar Jr and Gotaga, PokerStars has continued to expand its line up with the English YouTuber who hopes to one day ‘face the best in the game’.

Davis commented: “People who know me well know that I give 100% to anything I enjoy and poker is no different. I’ve even drafted in some experts to train me with the hope that one day I might be able to face the best in the game.

“PokerStars are the best at what they do and becoming a member of the team really is a proud moment for me. I have to say a big thank you to PokerStars, who are ahead of the game in supporting digital creators and their content.

“Over the next twelve months, I hope to improve my game, play with my audience and against some of the best players in the world to show just how entertaining, fun and mentally challenging poker can be.”

Fans can look forward to live streams of True Geordie playing home games and freerolls, with the opportunity to play along with him.

The signing follows a recent global brand refresh for PokerStars as it looks to move beyond just product in a bid to become a global entertainment brand. The refresh included PokerStars’ first dedicated safer gambling TV ads.

Earlier this month, PokerStars confirmed the signing of Brazil and Paris Saint Germain footballer Neymar Jr.

Commenting on that partnership Martin Nieri, global director of brand and creative at PokerStars, said: “Neymar Jr is a true global superstar. But what underpins this partnership is his genuine love for poker. It’s about a shared passion for the game and the beautiful uncertainty at the heart of it.

“At PokerStars, we are constantly trying new things to bring new energy, excitement, and entertainment to our customers. Together with Neymar Jr we believe we can take this to the next level for the PokerStars community.”
