Wazdan has added Colombia to its growing collection of certified jurisdictions, after the online casino games supplier received certification to offer part of its slot portfolio in the region’s regulated online market.

As a result, the supplier will be able to enter what it calls “one of Latin America’s largest regulated jurisdictions,” with the accelerated regulated market strategy praised as presenting new opportunities for growth.

Wazdan says that it will offer a “diverse slot portfolio” to local operators, headlined by 9Lions and Larry the Leprechaun. Its wide collection of games aims to deliver a range of mechanics and gameplay, as the group strives to appeal to players of all tastes and demographics.

Wazdan adds Colombia to its list of certified states, joining key igaming markets such as the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal and Romania, among many others.

Albert Bellavista, head of business development for Spain and Latin America at Wazdan, commented: “Colombia’s solid regulatory framework makes it the logical location for us to focus our Latin American expansion and we’re looking forward to forming successful and longstanding partnerships in the market.

“This certification is yet another milestone for our business and we have no doubt that the popularity of our games with local players will see them become staples of operators’ online lobbies.”

This latest accreditation comes shortly after Wazdan received similar certification in Spain, which was praised as marking another step forward in the company’s plans to significantly ramp up activity in regulated markets across the globe.
