GiG eyes New Jersey growth after permanent licence green-light

Gaming Innovation Group has unveiled that its iGaming Cloud subsidiary has been granted a permanent casino service industry enterprise licence for the New Jersey market.

Awarded by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, GiG’s operations within the state began over two year years ago after the state regulator awarded the firm a transactional waiver.

Lauded as “a significant step and milestone” by the group at the time, the move represented one stage of GiG’s wider US ambitions which extended across the country thanks to an ongoing agreement with Hard Rock International.

The group’s application was filed in June 2018, following the award of the aforementioned waiver, with GiG having supported Hard Rock International’s casino operations in New Jersey under the terms of its prior green-light as final approval was pending.

The license is granted for five years and gives GiG a permanent license to provide its real-money online casino platform solution to operators in the state of New Jersey.

Richard Brown, chief executive officer of GiG, said of the approval: “We are delighted to receive the CSIE license after a long and comprehensive process. This is a great achievement for GiG and gives us a solid confirmation that our platform, procedures and operations are meeting the highest standards out there.”
