SBC Digital Summit North America unveils agenda and interview series

The agenda for SBC Digital Summit North America is to feature an ‘In Conversation With’ series of interviews with some of the biggest names in the US betting and gaming industry.

The event on July 14 -16, 2020 is the fourth part of SBC’s online conference and exhibition program. The events use an advanced technological platform to replicate the key benefits of a physical trade show and make them accessible to delegates in their homes and offices.

With registration now open for North America’s largest virtual betting and gaming event, SBC has published the outline conference agenda and unveiled the first part of the speaker roster.

Among the highlights are the ‘In Conversation With’ series, which includes one-to-ones with Jay Snowden (CEO, Penn National Gaming) and Zach Leonsis (SVP, Strategic Initiatives, Monumental Sports & Entertainment), as well as legendary Las Vegas oddsmaker Roxy Roxborough being interviewed by ESPN’s David Purdum.

The wider agenda has five core themes – regulation, online betting and gaming, the land-based industry, sports, and innovation – with panel sessions about each of the topics on all three days.

Among the 75 speakers ready to share their experiences and ideas are a selection of high-profile executives from major operators, including Virginia McDowell (board member, GVC Holdings), Joshua Pearl (director, Sportsbook Operations, Penn National Gaming), Jennifer Saragnese (director of retail development, Pointsbet) and Kresimir Spajic (managing director, Hard Rock International).

The roster also features leaders from the affiliate sector, such as Stuart Simms (CEO, XLMedia) and Adam Small (partner, Better Collective), and renowned experts in the field of problem gambling, including Paul Buck (CEO, Epic Risk Management) and Brianne Doura-Schawohl (legislative director, National Council on Problem Gambling). The influential participants from tribal gaming are headed by Jonodev Chaudhuri (partner, Quarles & Brady LLP) and Sheila Morago (executive director, OIGA).

Sue Schneider, SBC’s VP of growth and strategy in the Americas, said: “The industry is having to deal with unprecedented market conditions, while simultaneously trying to prepare for the opportunities that regulation of sports betting will bring. So, SBC Digital Summit North America could not be better timed.

“Our speaker line-up features a great selection of senior executives ready to share invaluable insights about how the industry can move forward in the coming months, and we still have more big names to announce over the next few weeks.”

In addition to the conference content, SBC Digital Summit North America features a 30-booth interactive exhibition that will see both major industry suppliers and start-ups showcasing innovative new products, along with a series of opportunities to make connections at themed networking sessions focused on specific market sectors.
