Century Casinos and bet365 partner for Colorado sports betting

Colorado Springs headquartered Century Casinos has inked a further sports betting agreement relating to its home jurisdiction after debuting a collaboration with bet365.

The finalised partnership, undertaken through a subsidiary and having already obtained its master license with the The Centennial State, will become the firm’s second internet sports betting operator partner in Colorado.

Earlier this year the group rolled-out a partnership with Circa Sports Colorado, inking an initial 15-year link-up that includes a market access fee, a share of net gaming revenue and a minimum revenue guarantee payable each year.

The online gambling organisation will complete the necessary application and approval process with the state of Colorado, upon approval of which the group will operate an internet and mobile sports betting application under the bet365 brand.

The online sportsbook operations agreement with bet365 is for an initial ten year time frame and includes a minimum annual revenue guarantee and a percentage share of net gaming revenue payable to the company each year, with an advance fee being paid upon contract signing.

Century Casinos, which operates Century Casino and Hotel Cripple Creek and Century Casino and Hotel Central City within Colorado, has one more master licence available regarding a further internet sports betting partnership within the region.

The casino operator revealed this week that its Casinos Poland subsidiary, in which the firm holds a 66.6 per cent ownership interest, is reopening its eight casino establishments.

Casinos throughout Poland were closed on March 13, 2020, to comply with a quarantine imposed by the Polish government to contain the spread of COVID-19. The regulation lifting the lockdown for casinos includes social distancing practices and enhanced health and safety protocols.

“We look forward to welcoming our guests and team members back to our Polish casinos,” Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, co-chief executive officers of Century Casinos, noted. “This is a first but very important step to lead our company back to normal operations.”
