888 Holdings has announced that it’s 888poker division is to remain in close collaboration with the World Series of Poker, after announcing a continuation of its sponsorship for the sixth successive year.

This agreement will see 888poker resume its prominent sponsorship alongside what is lauds as “the world’s most prestigious poker series”, which is expected to host a record number of players at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, starting from 26 May. The event will also be broadcast online and on TV via ESPN and PokerGo.

In the build up to the main event, which begins on July 1, 2020, 888poker is to be the only operator that offers poker players from outside the US the opportunity to qualify through its online platform.

The site will host various promotions and campaigns, including multi-step satellite tournaments, with buy-in starting from as little as one cent.

The 2019 WSOP had a record 187,298 entries, creating a 50-year high of $293,183,345 in prize money.
