Slot game development studio Stakelogic is set to debut a series of branded titles after partnering with gambling film and media brand rights entity Skyrocket Entertainment.

Following on from a “win-win relationship” entered alongside Gaming Innovation Group” last month, Stakelogic is to debut a series of titles based around big-name move franchises.

Under the terms of the agreement the firm is to design and develop a run of slots games based around popular film franchises including The Expendables, Rambo and Hercules.

The first slot to launch via the agreement will combine The Expendables brand with Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic, which Stakelogic has licensed from the game developer. The Expendables Megaways will launch on Sunday 23 February, with the rest of the series coming later in the year.

Sean O’Kelly, chief executive officer of Skyrocket, said: “We are delighted to be working with Stakelogic, a fast moving and exciting company. Their talented team bring the energy and creativity to deliver epic games – which is the perfect fit for Skyrocket and our global film brands.”

This deal represents Stakelogic’s first entrance into the branded slot market, with the developer stating an intention of “coming out swinging” with three of the biggest movie entertainment brands in the world.

Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO of Stakelogic, added: “We are excited to enhance our game portfolio with our first series of branded slots.

“We have secured some of the biggest brands in the movie world which simply would not have been possible without partnering with Skyrocket.

“We have some incredible things planned for these brands and look forward to launching Expendables Megaways next month.”

Enhancing it’s igaming reach in December through the aforementioned GiG agreement, the link-up followed up on news that Stakelogic is to enter the UK for the first time after securing a supplier permit from the UK Gambling Commission.
