888 Holdings has bolstered the output of its 888casino entity on the Spanish market after entering a new partnership with Las Vegas headquartered Scientific Games.

The link-up will see the launch of more than 120 games via Scientific Games’ open gaming system, complete with a variety of features, gameplay options and user protection tools as the firm aims to put “players at the heart” and provide partners with “scalable and reliable igaming technology”.

“At 888, we are focused on providing our customers the most enjoyable gaming experience,” Guy Cohen, SVP of B2C at 888, said of the new partnership. “Through our partnership with Scientific Games we can now offer our Spanish customers an additional 120 games to our platform with more games to come. We look forward to building on our relationship with Scientific Games and delivering for our customers.”

As a result of the agreement the 888 games portfolio now boasts a selection of titles from Scientific Games’ in-house studios and third-party partners, including Merlin’s Millions, Superbet, Gorilla Go Wilder and Zeus 2.

Dylan Slaney, SVP of casino at SG Digital, commented: “888 is a huge player in the Spanish igaming market, and we’re thrilled to offer our content to their players. It will increase our presence in the market and give players a top-notch igaming experience backed by the reliability and scalability of our OpenGaming platform.”

Earlier this week 888 stated that the firm had entered 2020 “with good momentum across several regulated European markets,” as the group stressed confidence in achieving its EBITDA targets for 2019.

Boosted by continued progress during the second half of the year, particularly in December where revenue is said to have reached “an all-time monthly record,” the post close trading update, which did not contain specific figures, pertained to the year ending December 31, 2019.
