Microgaming has unveiled further European expansion after announcing that its range of slots are live in the Portuguese market via Estoril Sol Digital’s ESC Online brand.

It said that the casino software developer’s entrance into the country continues its strategy of expansion into key regulated markets around the world, following successful entries into Sweden and Czech Republic this year.

Andrew Clucas, chief operating officer at Microgaming, commented: “We are delighted to extend our offering into the regulated market of Portugal. ESC Online is one of the country’s leading gaming brands, and we are thrilled to provide them with some of the most engaging and successful titles in the industry.”

ESC Online, the first licensed casino operator in the regulated Portuguese online market, boasts a gaming portfolio including slots, blackjack and roulette and stresses that it operates “on the same principles as land-based casinos in Portugal”.

Following integration with the Microgaming platform, ESC Online now provides its customers with access to a wealth of titles from the supplier’s portfolio of casino games, with more content to be added in the near future.

Rui Magalhães, CEO of Estoril Sol Digital, added: “Providing our players with excellent content and customer experience has the highest importance to us. Our partnership with Microgaming signals our commitment to this.

“We set the highest standards for our ESC Online brand, and with the addition of Microgaming’s exceptional casino titles, we look forward to bolstering our offering and providing our players with access to the largest and most diverse online gaming portfolio in the business.

“I am confident that through this collaboration we will continue to succeed in Portugal, as market leaders, and provide Portuguese players with a top notch entertaining online gaming experience.”

Earlier this month Microgaming rolled-out a new content-based agreement with MrQ, the entity owned by UK-based operator of white label online bingo and casino brands Lindar Media.

Doubling its slots offering earlier this year thanks to an agreement with casino games provider Pariplay’s Fusion integration platform, MrQ.com has now added a new wave of titles to its proprietary bingo platform.
