Scientific Games debuts ‘breakthrough entertainment ecosystem’

Scientific Games Corporation has unveiled the launch of OpenGaming, uniting the firm’s Open Gaming System and OpenPlatform.

The US gaming technology firm states that the “end-to-end digital ecosystem [is] for operators looking to provide a new wave of immersive gaming experiences,” powered by a range of features and “imaginative” player experiences.

“Our vision is to change the way people think about player experiences through interaction-rich platform features seamlessly stitched into ground-breaking games,” noted Jordan Levin, group chief executive of SG Digital.

“OpenGaming takes our passion for great games and builds in layers of multi-studio features to drive a new revolution for our industry. It kicks open the door to the future of interactive gaming in our industry.”

The Las Vegas headquartered organisation’s OpenGaming introduction brings together Scientific Games’ OGS content aggregation platform, alongside the OPS player account management system.

As a result the OpenGaming ecosystem is home to content aggregation technology, player account management platform, and in excess of 2500 games from a global network of in-house and third-party game studios, as well as a variety of features across jackpots, free-rounds, tournaments and peer-to-peer gaming.

Dylan Slaney, SG Digital’s SVP gaming, commented: “When we talk to players, they tell us we’re competing for their time alongside other aggregation platforms in the media, mobile, and console gaming worlds.

“With the launch of OpenGaming, which now includes our award-winning OGS content aggregation platform, our OpenPlatform player account management system, and our unparalleled library of world-class multi-studio content, our teams and partners have risen to the industry’s challenge and created a breakthrough entertainment ecosystem.”

Scientific Games has been extending its US-based sports betting presence recently, with two debuts last month consolidating its foothold in the country further still.

Last month the firm aligned with Caesars Entertainment which saw the partnership enter a fifth state through the Indiana Grand Racing and Casino, before aligning with Oneida Indian Nation and its Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango.

Lauded as “the largest sportsbook in New York State”, it  follows fellow Caesars branded offerings at Oneida’s Turning Stone Resort in Verona and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport.
