“It is a genuine honour to be asked to speak at the CasinoBeats conference which is clearly a must-attend event for anyone in our space”

As we sit just hours away from the start of the CasinoBeats Summit 2019 we we are taking a closer look at ‘New Horizons’, one of four main tracks that make up this year’s agenda.

Encapsulating sessions that explore a range of key issues that could affect the industry, it sits alongside the ‘Future of Gaming’ on day one (Wednesday 18 September) before the ‘Safer Gambling Forum’ and ‘Customer Journey and Marketing’ a day later.

Commencing after a leaders panel heads up the first day of panel sessions, New Horizons features topics titled:

  • Swede Dreams? How is the market shaping up.
  • US: Betting opening the doors for casinos.
  • Does blockchain have a future in online casino?
  • Taking the Strain.
  • Fall-out: The implications of Brexit.
  • Turning Japanese.

Tony Plaskow, founder of Black Cow, is to moderate a session looking at the fast-evolving sector stateside, and said of his participation: “It is a genuine honour to be asked to speak at the CasinoBeats conference which is clearly a must-attend event for anyone in our space.

“I’m participating in the New Horizons track where we are looking to make sense of rapidly moving machinations in both Europe and the States as it starts its journey of legalised igaming. I am moderating a star-studded panel and can’t wait to get into it!”

Operators attending and speaking at the Summit in 2019 will include Casumo, Genting UK, Hard Rock, LeoVegas, Lottoland, Mansion, Olympic, Rank, Royal Panda, Videoslots and William Hill, while a number of leading suppliers are also backing the event, with BetConstruct, Microgaming, NetEnt, Red Tiger Gaming, Play’n Go, Playson, SG Digital, Swintt and Yggdrasil all joining as sponsors.

Bill Pascrell III, strategic advisor/public and government affairs at Princeton Public Affairs Group, featured on the US-panel alongside Plaskow, commented: “CasinoBeats, run by SBC, is an incredible event to meet senior executives from across the globe in the industry. It presents a valuable opportunity for learning, discovering new technology and innovation, and high powered networking.

“Stewart Darkin, managing director of CasinoBeats, and his team deserve tremendous credit and kudos for providing a unique, professional and first class experience. It is a must attend for the elite in the industry.”

Paul Plewman, COO of Currency Transfer, who is to speak about the potential Brexit fall-out, added: “I try to keep up to date on the different challenges facing a number of different industry sectors.

“These challenges can commonly cover the impact of currency risk and the importance of an appropriate hedging policy, and how compliance impacts the wider payments space. I always look forward to panel discussions, which can spark some lively debate.”
