Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment’s Parx Casino has been unveiled as the new gaming partner of the Philadelphia Union and its Talen Energy Stadium.

The property, located in Bensalem, a township in Bucks County that borders the northeast section of Philadelphia, is to be the presenting partner of the halftime show on all local broadcasts of Union games.

Parx, which launched the second legal mobile sportsbook in the state, will also be activating on the Toyota Plaza at Talen Energy Stadium on game days.

“Parx Casino is the premiere destination for gaming and sports gambling, not only for the Philadelphia-area, but for the state of Pennsylvania as a whole,” commented Jean-Paul Dardenne, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at the Philadelphia Union

“We are confident that our fan-base will enjoy the added fun, perks and prizes of the Parx presence on game days.”

Furthermore, as part of the partnership street teams will be engaging fans to download the Parx app and take advantage of their deposit match, as well as teaching those aged 21 and above how to responsibly make bet.

Fans who download the app will be automatically entered to win prizes, including an all-inclusive trip for four to the Union’s away game against New York Red Bulls that takes place next month.

“We’re excited to partner with the Philadelphia Union and the fastest growing professional sport in the US,” added Marc Oppenheimer, chief marketing Officer at Parx Casino.

“MLS looks to be a great partner for the emerging legalised sports betting business. We look forward to working with the Union to maximise the value for their franchise and Parx.”

Earlier this month Parx Casino announced the grand opening of a new $10m expansion that sees the introduction of the property’s new sportsbook following recent launches its online sports betting app and real money casino.
