Continuing CasinoBeats‘ series of updates from SlotCatalog‘s SlotRank leaderboard, which highlights the popularity of online slots based on casino lobby position, this week looks at NetEnt’s success in Denmark.

This week saw NetEnt secure four of the top five positions in the Danish market, with its classic Starburst holding tight in pole position.

The positions in the SlotRank leaderboard are calculated on a daily basis by scanning the lobby positions of hundreds of online slot titles across hundreds of online casinos in a wide range of markets.

NetEnt has continued to battle it out with Play’n Go however this week NetEnt has just managed to secure seven of the 12 places in the top 12. This week has seen NetEnt’s Mercy of the Gods climb to no. 3, and Grand Spinn to no. 5. While Gonzo’s Quest has slipped slightly to no.4.

Elsewhere in the leaderboard, Play’n Go’s Rise of Merlin, Firelfly Frenzy and Wild Rails have all seen a jump in popularity, with NetEnt’s Cash-O-Matic rounding up the leaderboard.

From the outset, the Danish market appears to be dominated by the older, classic titles such as Starburst and Book of Dead – suggesting that it is much harder for newer titles to break into the slots scene.
