The Novomatic Group has recently celebrated the grand opening of its second Spanish-based casino, following more than a year and €6m of investment at its Casino Admiral Sevilla.

Becoming the second casino under the firm’s operation in the autonomous community of Andalusia, around 300 guests were invited as the new casino casino complex unveiled its renovation and refurbishment.

The newest member of the Admiral estate is located in the small town of Tomares, with delegates such as Manuel Vázquez Martín, general director of taxes, finance and gaming of the Spanish Government in Andalusia, as well as Jose Luis Sanz, the Major of Tomares, joining a variety of stakeholders at the property.

Manfred Schartner, managing director of Admiral Casinos Spain, said: “This fantastic re-inauguration of the Casino Admiral Sevilla, following the complete refurbishment, is another important step in growing our operational business in Andalusia and Spain.

“The positive feedback we receive daily from our customers and partners is a big motivation for us to continue our successful strategy.”

First opened 13 years ago as Gran Casino Aljarafe, the property was acquired by Novomatic in 2016 before the complete development of the premises was undertaken.

Creating additional jobs for the region as a result of the multi-million pound work, it has also introduced 7,000 square metres of gaming floors, poker areas, restaurants and show venues.

Showcasing two new terraces and an extended gaming area, the new 1,000 square metre space comprises live tables, slots and sport betting terminals, as well as a dedicated poker room.

Furthermore, Novomatic stresses that the “casino offers the largest variety of live games in the entire province of Seville,” including poker tables, American roulette, blackjack, Caribbean poker and electronic roulette machines.

The organisation has also added the Admiral Arena Sports Bar to the casino, providing a variety of sports betting options as well as a “large video wall” showcasing the action from a number of global events.
