Marko Jelen is to lead the sales team at casino content developer and platform provider WeAreCasino, taking over from Christian Maglia who is leaving the company.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the land-based casino sector, Jelen moved to the online gaming industry in the last three years.
His extensive experience includes general manager at Slovenian HIT Group Casino and director roles at Perla Casino, Casino Portoroz and Casino Portomaso, in Malta.
Jelen’s move into online came via Edesia, where he was business development manager, and also at Stanleybet.
“WeAreCasino is a young and dynamic company with a lot of ongoing projects and ideas,” said Jelen. “I’m sure that together with all our extraordinary talented team we’ll be able to deliver them to our clients and partners.
“Our aim is to remain in a close relationship with our partners, also thanks to our presence at the main trading shows all over the globe,” he continued.
“After a successful presence at G2E Asia Macau we can already confirm our next stops at the Belgrade Gaming Show, iGB Live in Amsterdam and the CasinoBeats Summit in London.
“We have delivered a strong Q1 and entering in new markets will give us the right push for the rest of the year,” said Jelen.
In a statement, WeAreCasino also thanked Christian Maglia, wishing him “great success in his future challenges and career”.
