Casino content developer Big time Gaming has unveiled further details of its upcoming “ground breaking slot release,” to be done so later this month, exclusively revealed for the first time on CasinoBeats last week.

Titled Opal Fruits, it will be launching exclusively on the Scientific Games network on May 29, before later making its debut via Relax Gaming and Microgaming.

Dylan Slaney, SVP of casino at SG Digital, expressed delight at the deal: “Opal Fruits shows a new level of detail that is a welcome addition to our market-leading content aggregation platform.

“Big Time Gaming is a key partner for Scientific Games, and we are delighted to be launching Opal Fruits exclusively on our platform.”

Opal Fruits, which features a 1980s’ retro feel, also comes complete with a new slot mechanic triple reaction, enabling spins and reactions in three directions.

Nik Robinson, Big Time Gaming CEO, said of this development: “In Opal Fruits, there are two extra reels that spin horizontally – so there are spins in three different directions. The top reel sits across the four central reels but fills left-to-right; while beneath the main reel set is another extra reel, this one filling right to left. It keeps the solid density of the reel set.

“It feels like its big brother Bonanza on steroids – but its not MegaWays,” he continues. “We wanted to decouple the MegaWays complexity with a game that is just as much fun but is simpler. For us, in essence it’s the next Bonanza.”

Enabling a combined feel of its Extra Chilli and Bonanza offerings, albeit “into a much less complex format,” Opal Fruits promises a Daft Punk-esque soundtrack and multipliers that are “a win-win for players,” as BTG stressed that it has “spared no expense in the production”.

Robinson added: “We have achieved a new level of player retention with Opal Fruits. Triple Reaction brings a brand new fun factor, doubling down on what we have achieved with our monster hits, Bonanza, Extra Chilli and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

“The game has a simpler learning curve than our Megaways titles and at just 10p per spin, players could have hours of fun with just a £10 deposit.”
