Harrah’s Northern California remains on track to host its grand opening this spring, as the 71,000 square foot entertainment destination began advertising for in excess of 400 full-time positions as preparation continues apace.

Set to become the 17th Harrah’s branded venue, located in Amador County, 32 miles southeast of The Golden State’s capital city of Sacramento, upon completion it’s to house 950 slot machines, 20 game tables, one full-service restaurant and three fast-casual dining concepts.

The $168m development, falling under the Caesars Entertainment banner, sees the firm continue to expand into new markets, after entering an agreement with the Buena Vista Gaming Authority, an entity of the Buena Vista Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians of California.

Caesars states that this move is complementary to its existing portfolio, in addition to being expected to “generate strong visitation and excellent financial returns”

The new casino property is seeking to fill a variety of roles including positions in gaming operations, human resources, marketing, administration, information technology, environmental services, front services, security and more.

“A new casino opening always brings economic opportunity,” commented JC Rieger, Harrah’s Northern California senior vice president and general manager. “We expect Amador County to benefit from the creation of new jobs and services and, given our unique footprint, expect other areas of the region to benefit as well.”

The hotly anticipated arrival of the Harrah’s brand into the northern California gaming market, will see guests benefit from the casino’s affiliation with Caesars, who will bring its revamped Caesars Rewards loyalty program to the property.

Harrah’s Northern California players will earn Caesars Rewards member privileges, and preferred access to Caesars’ resorts and amenities in Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas and beyond.

Speaking at the time of breaking ground on the project Rhonda Morningstar Pope-Flores, chairwoman of the Buena Vista Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians, was enthusiastic about the property’s prospects: “We’re excited to partner with Caesars Entertainment to bring the Harrah’s brand to our gaming project.

“Harrah’s is a world-class brand that is known for offering a fun gaming atmosphere with unparalleled customer service. We’re confident that it will attract more people to our destination.”
