Geolocation compliance technology specialist GeoComply has become a board-level member of the American Gaming Association, with Anna Sainsbury, chairman of GeoComply, joining the AGA board.

“With the rapid and seismic changes in the industry over the last year, we felt it was important to become a member of the AGA now, and support their work to drive understanding of regulated gaming across the US,” said Sainsbury (pictured).

“It’s extremely important for legislators and regulators to know how continuously improving systems and processes, such as ours, are being used to ensure compliance with state and federal law and to better protect all igaming players in the US.”

The AGA is the leading trade group in the US, representing the $261bn American casino industry. The association’s Stacy Papadopoulos said: “Suppliers like GeoComply serve an important role in the gaming ecosystem and having them active in the AGA benefits our members and the industry as a whole.

“With the expansion of igaming and sports betting opportunities in the US, their expertise on both the regulatory and operational side is invaluable.”
