THE PITCH
Pariplay invites players to be transported back to the 16th century via its new slot title, which it states is “based on a Buddhist monk’s legendary journey”.
Vowing to wow users with its “powerful, evocative graphics and a range of special player features,” the organisations states that Xi You Ji “immerses players in the centuries-old legendary Chinese novel renowned in English as ‘Journey to the West’.”
GAME DETAIL
Through the five-reel, 25-line slot, players are to follow in the footsteps of Xuanzang, a Tang dynasty Buddhist monk who explored the western regions of Asia in the 16th century.
“With authentic Chinese music in the background and matching symbols, players join a slots quest across Asia to find sacred scrolls”.
A three-time scroll symbol triggers a sacred journey bonus which allows players to collect multipliers and Xuanzang’s three disciples – Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing – for the chance to win the big prize of a 1,000x multiplier.
Furthermore, players can also enjoy the lantern bonus game by filling them up to be awarded sticky wilds, a chance at 10, 15 or 20 free spins, cash prizes and an up-to 12x instant prize multiplier, in addition to the chance to spin the jackpot wheel.
Players spin the wheel and win one of the five available jackpots, worth between 50x and 1,000x multipliers.
