Holy Diver is the latest online slot offering from games developer Big Time Gaming.
RELEASE DATE
Holy Diver is to launch exclusively with LeoVegas on Wednesday 23 January and with Royal Panda from Thursday 24 January, before being made available to the wider market on Thursday 7 February 2019.
The very first spins, however, will be played by casino streaming sensation Kim Hultman (also known as LetsGiveItASpin), and will be broadcast on CasinoGrounds.com on the Wednesday 23 January at 8pm.
THE PITCH
Big Time Gaming states that it’s striving to “rock the online casino sector to its core” via its latest slot release, which has also been more than two years in the making, in addition to being themed around the song of the same name by 80s American heavy metal band Dio.
Featuring BTG’s MegaWays mechanic, which afford players up to 117,000 ways to win the base game as well as 586,971 in the bonus game, as well as being the first to feature its Reel Adventure, allowing the introduction of “complex narratives and interactive characters”.
This has been utilised to create three worlds with three tiers of volatility, controlled by the player by choosing to play the bonus round or to level up and play the base game with a multiplier.
This is unlocked when an animated knight moves along a path below the reels, who, when coming across a treasure chest, opens it to reveal one of four reel modifiers.
GAME DETAIL
Players collect gems hidden in treasure chests, instead of using a scatter symbol to unlock a bonus feature, coming complete with four colours which players must collect to trigger it.
Following which, players are given the choice to play the free spins feature at level one/two, or decline to play the bonus and upgrade to level two/three instead, and return to the base game and play with a x2/x3 Wild multiplier.
If the player triggers the bonus free spins feature at level three the bonus game is initiated with a x3 multiplier in place, with Holy Diver rock song starting to play upon entering the bonus game.
Also prevalent in the bonus game is the knight once again, who fights mystical figures whom once defeated can reveal diamonds to trigger free spins and re-spins.
