William Hill

Robin Terrell is to become the new chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at leading betting and gaming operator William Hill, effective from March 4, 2019.

Terrell will replace David Lowden who, as previously announced, will step down from the board of William Hill on March 4.

A chartered accountant in the UK, Terrell has been a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee since 2017.

Lowden leaves to take up his position as chairman and independent non-executive director of London-listed healthcare and communications group Huntsworth.

He took on the director role on January 1 and will become chairman of the board of Huntsworth and of its Nomination Committee on March 6, two days after stepping down from the William Hill board.

William Hill meanwhile continues to expand its interests in the US with news this week that the operator has teamed up with Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in the state of Iowa.

The deal sees sees William Hill become official sportsbook operator of the casino, should the activity be given approval by the state’s gaming regulatory authorities and become legal under Iowa state law.
