Malta headquartered Gaming Innovation Group has unveiled a content agreement alongside Nordic-based gaming platform provider Finnplay.

Under the terms of the new deal GiG Games is set to see its portfolio of content distributed to the “expanding operator base” of Finnplay within selected globally regulated markets.

“We are very happy to sign with Finnplay. They are operational in several regulated markets where GiG Games are also certified with its games,” stated Mathias Larsson, managing director at GiG Games.

Finnplay is to take the full suite of titles from GiG Games as per the terms of the new unison, with plans in place set to see the release of the first title on its platform during the first quarter of the year.

Martin Prantner, chief executive officer of Finnplay, explained: “We’re delighted to add the GiG Games portfolio to our platform for our growing roster of operators. GiG has a long-standing reputation of innovation in the igaming industry, and we look forward to our operators benefiting from the engaging games that can be accessed and marketed across several regulated markets.”

This new deal follows Finnplay’s entry into the re-regulated Swedish gambling market, after securing on igaming licence in late December of last year prior to the region’s launch in the new year.

Lauding the firm being given the green-light and benefits set to be felt as a result of Finnplay’s entry, Prantner said at the time: “We’re delighted to have passed the stringent criteria required to supply operators in the fast-growing re-regulated Swedish market. As a Nordic-based business, we are looking forward to offering our hand-crafted technology to existing operators, or those brands looking to enter the Swedish igaming market given our years of local market expertise and sector knowledge.
