Gaming content from developer Play’n Go is now live with operator and online poker giant PokerStars in Italy, building on a partnership established earlier this year.

In a statement, Play’n Go said: “We will be supplying our full suite of games to their customers in the Italy, which fits with the original focus of the partnership – which was to expand the slots offering in regulated markets and facilitate a move into the Italian region in this quarter.

“We are already very known in the Italian market and have had a particularly strong presence over the last couple of years,” the company said.

PokerStars, which is owned and operator by The Stars Group, also has a significant existing presence in Italy, being one of the biggest gaming operators in the country.

The news follows a similar agreement between PokerStars and Pragmatic Play, while, last month, the poker operator’s Galactic Series offering southern Europe’s shared-liquidity market its biggest ever online poker tournament series.

The total prize pool for the tournament was almost €2m higher that the guaranteed stipulation of €15m, coming in at €16.97m, attracting more than 50,000 players across the schedule’s 186 events.

The multi-year partnership between Play’n Go and PokerStars Casino was announced in June and sees the provider supply its full suite of games via a direct integration into the PokerStars Casino platform, with a key focus on expanding their slots offering in regulated markets.

Following the .it integration process, the partners expect to go live in Spain and Denmark before in the end of Q3, 2018.
