Caesars Entertainment Corporation has announced an evolution of its land-based sports betting offerings within Atlantic City, by introducing the ‘Caesars Casino & Sports app’.

Powered by Scientific Games Corporation, the technology group will see its OpenBet entity provide “Caesars’ players with intuitive and sleek solutions,” enhancing the sports betting experience through the mobile app and at its Bally’s Wild Wild West and Harrah’s Atlantic City properties.

This new introduction allows players within the state of New Jersey to place bets on an array of sporting events, including the NFL whose new season began yesterday, in addition to being able to access in excess of 400 casino games including slots, table games and video poker.

Mark Frissora, CEO and president of Caesars Entertainment, commented: “Since New Jersey decided to allow mobile sports betting, we have been working diligently to create the most engaging and fun mobile platform, which provides users with the ability to place bets on their favourite sporting events.

“Players have the opportunity to earn and redeem rewards points through our Total Rewards loyalty program, which they can redeem for memorable experiences inside our world-class resorts. This launch further solidifies our investment into this exciting space.”

This news comes as the organisation reaffirms its commitment to gender pay equity, for which it has pledged regular reviews and just last year partnered with Billie Jean King and her organisation, the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative (BJKLI), to launch the Gender Equity Initiative.

A 2016 study, reviewing pay data for 32,200 non-union employees from corporate headquarters and 40 properties, showed 99 per cent of women at the former and 98 per cent at the latter are in jobs with no meaningful differences between the average pay.

A recent follow up study has also been conducted by the group, regarding which it stressed that it’s “moving toward 100 percent pay equity in all jobs”.

Billie Jean King, explained: “As a long-time champion of equal pay for equal work, seeing more companies, like Caesars Entertainment, joining in the movement is strong proof that things are improving and progressing.”

“The numbers from our internal study confirm that Caesars Entertainment is a progressive workplace that values all employees and promotes an open and inclusive culture,” Frissora added. “While I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished, there is still more work to be done, and I remain committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure that we reach 100% pay equity.”
