Grosvenor Casinos has announced its poker calendar for 2018, with a myriad of events taking place at various destinations up and down the country.
The 25/25 series, which it states is going from ‘strength to strength all thanks to its accessibility in terms of both affordability and variety of destinations,’ see a slightly trimmed schedule for 2018 with 30 destinations set to be featured.
This is slightly down from last years 34, which attracted 9,917 entries and generated £1,983,400 in cash prizes.
Goliath is also set to return to the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, with the annual event fresh off the back of a record breaking year last time around.
Beating its own record, and surpassing expectations along the way, 6,385 entries, of which 4,022 were unique players, were welcomed to the event, with this years offering boasting a £100,000 guaranteed first prize.
Through its continued success, it was stated that Goliath has enabled ‘Grosvenor Casinos and its players to retain the title for the biggest live poker tournament outside of the USA.’
Grosvenor has also revealed details for its 2018 UK Poker Tour (GUKPT), with last years ten stop schedule cut down to nine for this year.
On last year’s GUKPT, Grosvenor stated that ‘throughout the year the tour welcomed an impressive 3,029 entries to GUKPT Main Events, and a total of 10,852 entries to all GUKPT events generating £3,698,255 in cash prizes.’

- Leg Seven, Grosvenor Casino Luton, October 7-14, £200,000 main event guarantee

Grosvenor has also announced its 2018 UK Student Poker Championship, set to be held at The Ricoh Arena from April 4-8, as well as a number of seasonal specials set to be hosted across the UK.
