Online gaming content developer Yggdrasil Gaming has announced the latest branch of its strategic global expansion strategy, by entering the east Asian nation of Taiwan.
Facilitating its debut within the Taiwanese nation through a partnership with social gaming operator XSG, through which Yggdrasil has gone live.
Hailed as a “landmark deal,” several of the firm’s casino slot titles have been made available for the Taiwan market, via XSG’s social gaming brand www.08online.com.
Stanley Ku, XSG´s founder and chief executive officer, explained: “To be the first operator to bring Yggdrasil’s fantastic casino slots content to Taiwan is an affirmation of XSG’s track record and business development capabilities.
“It also speaks about the present state of Taiwan’s gaming market, which is now mature enough to start garnering attention worldwide.
“As with this agreement with Yggdrasil, XSG will continue to bring the best content from across the globe to ensure Taiwanese players experience a truly world-class gaming offering.”

This comes a short time after Yggdrasil celebrated the launch of its Nitro Circus title, at an exclusive event in Malta featuring Todd Meyn and Kurtis Down, two of the brand’s star performers.
Speaking at the time of the event, Yggdrasil Gaming chief marketing officer Karin Wahlström stated: “We have a very close relationship with our partners, so putting them at the heart of unforgettable events like the Nitro Circus preview is important to us.
